We'll be presenting our Divestin' from Capitalism, Investin in Ecological Justice: Time Banking 101 workshop. Like me, have you been grappling with questions like: What are the first steps towards living economies organizing? What IS a living economy?! How do I start a living economy related project in my community? How can my group’s work address root causes within living economy organizing? What overlap does my work have with regional living economy strategies & networks? And, what co-benefits can I achieve through my new economy organizing?
If so, then you may be interested in learning more about the New England Grassroots Environment Fund’s upcoming RootSkills Conference, this Dec 7&8th in Worcester, MA.
At the conference, you will interact with others working on living economies projects, with an entire track devoted to this issue area. You’ll also have the opportunity to engage with those working outside living economies, and see where your work intersects.
Living Economies related outcomes that you can expect from attending include:
Conducting an analysis of project options to launch or deepen community-based living economy projects;
Connect local organizing work to regional strategies & networks;
Employ basic strategies to assess the impact of living economy related projects; and
Assess co-benefits that can be met through living economy organizing.
